Busy busy busy! (And Saint-Saëns)

Can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve had a chance to post on here. I’ve been swept away in my final year of Music College! How the time has flown.

I’m currently very busy practicing and rehearsing for my upcoming Postgraduate auditions (eek!). And whilst I’m here and on the topic, I’d like to introduce you to an incredible piece that I stumbled upon (and am playing for my auditions!). Did you know Saint-Saëns wrote a Violin Sonata? Well actually, he wrote two! So here’s a lovely rendition of the first movement from his Violin Sonata No.1 in D Minor (Op. 75).

I’m also playing the first and second movements of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor, Sarasate’s Zapateado and Bach – a lot of!

Hopefully, come Christmas, I’ll have a bit more time to find something exciting to write about – but for now I hope this video is enough!

Until then!
