Summer Job!

A few months ago I had an interview with NCS The Challenge.

The Challenge is a great summer course for teenagers. They benefit from:
● A stay away from home at an outdoor activity centre
● Developing new skills and meet new people
● A University experience living together with your team
● A unique experience to design your own project
● Gaining a certificate signed by the Prime Minister upon completion

I was allocated the roll of Senior Mentor! This means I have to assist several groups through their entire three-week course, taking them to residential experiences and helping them develop their skills.

I can’t wait to get started! My sister participated as a teenager last year and she couldn’t speak more highly of the experience.

What are you all up to over the Summer? :)

Back to School!

I’m delighted to announce that I’m returning back to my old secondary school to join their orchestra for their next concert.

It’s on Thursday 27th March at Croydon Minster and the rep is the first movement from Mozart’s Flute Concerto in D and Mozart’s Coronation Mass.

I can’t wait to see some of my old teachers again! It should be a very lovely evening.

Musical Families!

I thought I’d let you all know about a new website I’ve set up!

It’s called ‘Musical Families‘ and the main aim is to allow parents of children who learn instruments to exchange ideas and information, discuss things such as practice techniques and examination boards and even get tips from me, a teacher!

It’s only in the early stages at the moment but it’s all set up and running! So feel free to register and use as you wish.
