About

Hayley is a London based violinist.

Born in 1993, she attended The Hayes Primary School in Kenley where she first started to learn the violin under the teaching of Helen Butterworth via Suzuki Method. For secondary school she then attended Croham Hurst and later, Old Palace of John Whitgift School and was then taught by Karina Macapline.

Outside of school, Hayley was an avid member of the Croydon Youth Orchestra, leading and touring to Portugal and Prague. She then joined the Whitgift Chamber Orchestra where she played first violin for many years. This gave her the opportunity to play alongside both the London Mozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in prestigious venues such as Cadogan Hall, Sloane Square, London.

Hayley graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2015, receiving a BMus (Hons) in Violin Performance and an LTCL in Instrumental / Vocal Teaching. Whilst there, she studied under John Crawford and Gillian Findlay.

Since breaking into her professional performing career, Hayley was co-leader of the orchestra for West Side Story with the National Youth Music Theatre in 2013. She has recorded on the album “West End Switched Off… Volume I”, and has played for many musicals, including The Addam’s Family, Dogfight, The Boys from Syracuse, Oliver!, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of The Opera, The Sound of Music, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Violet, Next Thing You Know and City of Angels. Hayley has also been a frequent violinist for the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.
